Short Description:
This product is made of pressure steam sterilization biological indicator, pressure steam sterilization chemical indicator card (crawling type), breathable material, wrinkle paper, etc. packaged and combined with tape, which is used to judge the effect of pressure steam sterilization.
Scope of use
Suitable for batch monitoring of steam sterilization effect at pressure 121-135°C.
How to use
1. In the blank space of the test package label, record the necessary matters of sterilization management (such as sterilization treatment date, operator, etc.).
2. Place the labeled side of the test package facing up, flat above the exhaust port in the sterilizer room or the most difficult position in the sterilizer recommended by the manufacturer, and ensure that the test package is not squeezed by other items.
3. Sterilization operation according to the instructions of the sterilizer manufacturer.
4. After the sterilization procedure, open the cabinet door, take out the test package, check the chemical indicator on the test package label, if the indicator changes from yellow to gray or black, it indicates that the test package has been exposed to saturated steam.
5. After the test package cools, take out the pressure steam sterilization chemical indicator card (crawling type) in the test package for reading to determine whether the chemical indicator card has entered the qualified area.
6. Remove the biological indicator in the test kit, clamp the ampoule, and restore the culture at 56-58 °C. Another batch of unsterilized pressure steam sterilization biological indicator was taken and cultured under the same conditions after the ampoule was broken as a positive control.
7. After confirming the sterilization effect, please remove the label and paste it in the record book for storage.
Result Judgment:
Pressure steam sterilization chemistry indicator card (crawling type), when the black indicator crawls to the sterilization qualified area, it means that the main parameters of sterilization (temperature, time, steam saturation) meet the requirements; When the black indicator does not crawl to the sterilization qualified area, it indicates that the sterilization failed.
Pressure steam sterilization biological indicator, after 48h of culture, when the color of the medium remains purple-red, indicating that the sterilization is qualified; If the color of the medium changes from purple red to yellow after 48h of incubation, indicating that the sterilization is unqualified, please sterilize the sterilized items again.
Both results are valid only if the positive control tube (culture no more than 24 hours) is positive.
Precautions
1. Before using this product, please confirm the integrity of the product and use it within the validity period of the product.
2. The color change of the chemical indicator on the test package label only shows whether the test package has been used. If the chemical indicator does not change color, check the sterilization procedure and sterilizer to ensure the proper operation of the sterilization cycle.
3. This product is a disposable item and cannot be used repeatedly.
4. This product can only be used for batch monitoring of pressure steam sterilization effect, and cannot be used for dry heat, low temperature, chemical gas sterilization monitoring.
5. Biological indicators that are judged to have failed sterilization, exceeded the expiration date, and used for positive control tests should be discarded after sterilization.
