L-3 121℃ Pressure Steam sterilization Chemical Indicator
Short Description:
This product is a 121℃ pressure steam sterilization chemical indicator. Exposure in 121 ℃ pressure steam condition, a color change reaction will occurs after a period of time to indicate whether the sterilization effect is achieved.
Application scope
It is suitable for monitoring the pressure steam sterilization effect of 121℃ in hospitals and health and epidemic prevention departments.
Usage
Incorporated the indicator into the package to be sterilized ; preheat and completely remove the cold air in the sterilizer according to the routine of the sterilization operation; keep the temperature for at least 20 minutes after the temperature in the steam sterilizer reaches 121℃(For the sterilization time of different items, please follow the relevant regulations); after sterilization, remove the indicator and observe the color change
Result determination:
When the temperature of the steam sterilizer is controlled at 121℃±2℃, indicator color reaches to or deeper than “standard black” indicated this sterilization is successful; otherwise, partially discolored or color lighter than “standard black” indicated this sterilization is failure.
Cautions
1. This product should not be in direct contact with water. The indicator strip should not be placed directly on the surface of materials such as metal or glass that tend to form condensate.
2. The indicator part should not be burned with fire.
3. This indicator is not applicable to the detection of 132℃ pre-vacuum steam sterilization effect.
4. This indicator is not suitable for use inside instruments such as infusion bottles, tubes, and cylinders.
5.Closed and stored in cool and dry place. Do not store in room with acid, alkali, strong oxidation and reducing agent in the air. The product shall be stored in a closed bag and kept sealed.
